Getting Started – An Introduction to Internet Jobs
It happened on a dark and stormy night… No, wait, that’s not it.
There was pain and agony with joy and hope. Fear and uncertainty with conviction and determination. Yeah, that’s more like it. But what are we talking about? War, marriage, med school? Boot camp, child delivery, remodeling your house? Or maybe US presidential election campaigns?
Well it could be about a story related to any of those, or to life in general. But in this case I am talking about Internet Jobs – and about InternetJobs.com. For anything, you have to start somewhere, so I’ll start right here, even though what’s behind InternetJobs.com started long ago.
Likewise, no matter where you are in your career, either you had a starting point or you are still looking for one. Regardless, let me say Welcome To Internet Jobs with this first post!
And while I am at it, I might as well introduce myself and get it out of the way. My name is Stephen Dunham. Profession-wise, I am an IT Consultant who operates primarily as a Sr. Business Analyst; sometimes as a Project Manager; and inescapably as an entrepreneur. OK, enough about me, there will plenty more of that later. Right now, I want to talk about Internet Jobs.
Internet Jobs is a community website that uses the best communicators to deliver content about the jobs in the internet marketplace today. Instead of delivering just postings, Internet Jobs delivers content from the people who are doing the jobs, providing an in-depth perspective of their area in the web. This content in turn connects to job postings in similar arenas.
Internet Jobs is for anyone whose job’s purpose is to contribute to or use the Internet in some way. It crosses all job disciplines and functions from accounting to Zbase. If you work on the web we want to know about it. That’s right, Internet Jobs is about YOU!
